Adele, the British singer-songwriter, has announced that she will be taking a break from music. This comes after a decade of whirlwind success, during which she released three albums and won numerous awards.
On Sunday, the singer made the announcement during her concert at London’s Wembley Stadium. She told the audience that she is not sure if she will ever tour again. Adele also mentioned that she wants to focus on raising her 4-year-old son, Angelo.
The 29-year-old star has been touring since February 2016. Her latest tour was in support of her third album, “25.” The album was a massive commercial success and won Adele five Grammy Awards.
There’s no doubt that Adele’s decision to take a break will disappoint fans. However, the singer has made it clear that her family comes first. She also mentioned that she’s not sure if she’ll tour again, but she’s always open to performing live.
Adele is taking a step back from music. The singer told fans at her Munich show on August 31, 2024 that she’ll be gone for a long time after her Las Vegas residency ends in November.
The “Easy On Me” star has been busy for almost 3 years straight.
She’s ready to live her life away from the stage.
Adele got teary-eyed as she shared her plans with the crowd.
“I’ve been building a new life for 7 years. It’s time to live it,” she said.
Adele still has 10 more shows in Las Vegas. These make up for dates she missed in 2022 due to illness.
After that, she’ll be out of the public eye for a while.
The singer said this has been her longest stretch of performing ever. She doesn’t think she’ll do such a long run again.
Adele’s latest album, “30,” came out in 2021. It was her first new music in 6 years.
The album talks about her divorce from Simon Konecki. They split in 2019 after being together since 2011. They have a son named Angelo, born in 2012.
Since moving to the US, Adele has found love again.
She’s been dating sports agent Rich Paul since 2021.
There are hints they might be engaged or even married.
Adele has called Paul her “husband” on stage.
In an interview, Adele gushed about Paul. “I’ve never been in love like this,” she said. “I’m just so happy.”
The singer has also shared her hopes to have more kids.
At a Las Vegas show, she told fans she wants to have a baby after her work commitments are done.
“I want a girl,” Adele said. “She’s going to be a bossy little queen with me and Rich as parents!”
For now, fans can catch Adele in Las Vegas until November 23, 2024.
After that, it’s unclear when she’ll return to music or performing.
